Another addition to the Clyde & Cart walkway, passing the back of a scrapyard. Although not particularly attractive, it is notable as one of the last links between Renfrew’s industrial past and the River Clyde. Scrap metal is sorted here and then shipped abroad. Approached from either direction, the path bends right and then left. Cache is located between the two bends on the scrapyard side of the path itself. Cache is small tube, with log inside -you'll need a pen/pencil and something like tweezers to extract log. Other than the 2 locations where passing under the flightpath, this can be the noisiest section of the walkway on a weekday if the big metal shredder in the scrapyard itself is in operation!
