The cache is hidden in an official Geocache lock n lock container. There is a travel bug enclosed. The cache is located on a remote island in the Great South Bay located on the south shore of Long Island. The view at the top is awesome overlooking Great South Bay. The only way to get there is by a watercraft (ex. boat, jetski, kayak etc.)
You may launch a boat at one of two local town parks that have launching ramps: Tanners park in Copaigue and Venetian Park in Lindenhurst. No charge after summer season. There is also a small park off of Shore Road in Lindenhurst (south of Montauk Hwy) where you can park your car and walk a kayak or canoe to the beach, then, row straight across to the island, although a motorized boat would be better (about 1 1/2 mile).
