Ser Jaime Lannister, also known as the Kingslayer, is a knight from House Lannister. He is the second child and first-born son of Lord Tywin Lannister and his wife Lady Joanna. He is the twin brother and lover to Queen Cersei Lannister and older brother to Tyrion Lannister. He earned the derogatory nickname "Kingslayer" when he treasonously slew King Aerys (The Mad King) near the end of Robert's Rebellion. Jaime was once considered as one the greatest warriors in all of Westeros, but had his sword wielding hand cut off when he was taken prisoner.
