Jon Snow is the bastard son of Eddard Stark. Jon’s mother is not known. He was raised by his father alongside the five Stark children. Although Jon’s father is a Stark, Jon does not carry the Stark name. Jon Snow decides to join the Night's Watch when he turned fourteen. As a member of the Night’s Watch, Jon protects the realm from Wildlings and The Others on top of a giant 500+ foot wall. He is constantly accompanied by his albino direwolf Ghost, and he wields a sword named Longclaw which was passed down to him by Nights Watch Commander, Jeor Mormont.
