	In the event of a drowning accident or another type of accident along the Danish coast, it is important to alert emergency services as quickly as possible and notify about the accident and your location. A swift rescue operation depends on the ability of the operators at the alarm control center and the rescuers to pinpoint the place of the accident.
In Denmark there are SOS-signs placed along the beaches and at beach access roads as well as major lakes. Each with a unique letter and number combination. Should the need for help be present, you should call the alarm control center (112) and inform about the accident and your location using the SOS-sign number nearest to you.
