Geocache Description:

This is a 25 mile mile round trip scenic beach and nature inland walks between the north end of Fort Fisher Beach and Cape Fear Point on Bald Head Island. During the walk you will be able to enjoy some very pristine scenic ocean beach, much of which is only accessible on foot. Total distance from start to return to the parking area will be about 25 miles.

Your walk will start at the north end of Fort Fisher Beach, then walking about 9.5 miles south to Cape Fear Point on Bald Head, (an optional 4 mile BHI inland nature tour), then return to Fort Fisher Beach where you will walk inland about one mile to the final location on the Basin Trail where you will find a locked ammo box (which was changed to a 12"x2" cylindrical tube on 7/25/2019. See posted picture). Additional information will be provided to you in the Wherigo Cartridge.
