Geocache Description:

While I continue my climb up the geocache ladder I’ve been pondering how I was going to make my FIRST multi-cache. My 1K came and went, hence this name/endeavor. This cache is a 3 season cache so it is NOT “Winter Friendly."

I set this cache up using a geo phone app, but a Garmin Nuvi could be used to drive between stages. My intent is to show anyone attempting this cache to get a feel for the “hilltowns” of Albany County and to enjoy the longest county maintained road in Albany County.

The Albany County Department of Public Works maintains nearly 290 miles (467 km) of roads and 78 bridges as county routes. All county routes in Albany County are signed with a blue pentagonal shield. Although quite a few county routes are in more than one town, the route number reflects the town that the largest portion of the route is in. This road is the longest Albany County maintained road in the County.
