Parkwood Springs is an interesting and hilly green space overlooking the City of Sheffield. It contains woodland and heath, open parkland and a range of natural habitats. There are spectacular views over the city centre as well as the suburbs and the distant moors of the Peak District.
I was surprised to see that while the site boasts many interesting features such as a viewing platform, sculptures, two areas of 'ancient woodland' and two Sites of Special Scientific Interest for geologically important stone types, before now it contained absolutely no geocaches!
So, I decided to set this right and place a short series of five geocaches of various sizes. Each of them should be a little harder to find than the average, but then again they're not too fiendish so just keep your eyes peeled.
This is the fourth in the series - the small sized one (although you can find them in any order). Quite close to GZ you will see fantastic views of Sheffield spread out before you - so behold the Steel City in all its glory! The cache is a small-sized container, large enough for small swapables and travel bugs. Please make sure that you replace it in exactly the same place and manner as you found it so that it stays firmly in place ready for the next finder.
Remember to make a note of the letters and numbers on the log book which you'll need to find the fifth in the series - the bonus cache.
Happy finding!
