Złoty pociąg – domniemany pociąg III Rzeszy, który między listopadem 1944 a końcem stycznia 1945 roku miał wyruszyć z Wrocławia w kierunku Wałbrzycha, jednak na dworzec w Wałbrzychu nigdy nie dotarł. Miał on jakoby zawierać złoto, kosztowności i dzieła sztuki zrabowane przez nazistów w Polsce i Związku Radzieckim czy też tajne archiwa III Rzeszy. Rzeczy te ponoć miały zostać wywiezione z Wrocławia do nieznanej kryjówki, prawdopodobnie w okolicach Gór Sowich. Choć samo jego istnienie nigdy nie zostało potwierdzone, legenda „złotego pociągu” stała się inspiracją dla licznych poszukiwań
The so-called Nazi gold train concerns a local legend of up to three Nazi German-era trains buried underground in Lower Silesia in January 1945 toward the end of World War II. The area is now part of southwest Poland, but was then part of southeast Germany. The train(s) are believed to be near the Polish city of Wałbrzych, which until 1945 was the German city of Waldenburg.
According to local legend, the train or trains left Breslau (now Wrocław) laden with gold and other treasures. They were driven into a system of tunnels under the Owl Mountains that were part of an unfinished Nazi secret Project Riese (German for "giant") near Wałbrzych. There they were buried in a warren of tunnels and mines created by the Nazis.
Bei dem Gold-Zug von Wałbrzych (auch Panzerzug von Wałbrzych oder Nazi-Zug von Wałbrzych genannt) soll es sich um einen gepanzerten, seit dem Zweiten Weltkrieg vermissten Sonderzug in einem Stollen nahe der polnischen Stadt Wałbrzych (Waldenburg) handeln, der von Nationalsozialisten geraubtes Gold, Kunstschätze oder Industriematerialien transportiert haben soll. Die Schilderung von dem Gold-Zug kam erstmals in den 1970er Jahren auf. Es gibt weder historische Belege für die Existenz eines solchen Zuges, noch wurden andere Beweise für das Vorhandensein veröffentlicht. Breite internationale Medienaufmerksamkeit erfuhr die Schilderung über den Gold-Zug 2015, als zwei Hobbyforscher ihn entdeckt zu haben glaubten, und 2016, als nach ihm gegraben wurde. Ende August 2016 wurde die Suche abgebrochen.
