Geocache Description:

TOP OF THE BOGUILLIE

This cache is a 200ml Clip Lock container with logbook and pen.

The A841 used to make a complete circuit of the Isle of Arran, following the coast road all of the way. It is the only A-road on the Isle of Arran and forms the island's primary transport route, as it connects all the major settlements on the island on its 55-mile course around the coast -  Brodick, Lochranza, Blackwaterfoot, Whiting Bay and Lamlash. At only one point does it venture inland, and this is to climb the 600-foot pass at Boguillie between Greag Ghlas Laggan an Caisteal Abhail. However, in the early 2000s this was curtailed so that the western and southern sides of the route are now unclassified.

Please note the terrain has been set at 1.5 for those travelling in vehicles. For cyclists or walkers the rating will be 3.
