This cache is located on the southern edge of Puu-Ylästö.
This area was bought by Vantaa city council from Helsinky city in the 1990's. The city, working with VVO and Finnforest, developed it into a wooden housing area. To keep the costs reasonable a new wood element technique was developed and the houses were designed by architect Leila Tuominen from the Forma-Futura firm.
The building started in 2004 and the last of the 123 houses were erected by 2007.
It is a unique and colourful area and worth a walk around if you have the time.
