Geocache Description:

This is a simple cache and dash, with ample nearby parking and fairly decent accessibility - although wheelchair users will need a carer or helper to reach the cachecache. For this reason, I have given it a terrain rating of 1.5.

Air Commodore David Francis Layton Edwards was the Station Commander of RAF Lyneham in 1985-1987, he sadly passed away in 1989.

The cache container is located near where his memorial bench was located, in front of a duck pond attached to the Station Commanders house.

Sadly, due to recent vandalism the bench has been moved into MOD Lyneham for refurbishment, with it expected to be placed in the barracks Memorial Garden by Christmas.

Edit: Congratulations on FTF pianoalf, that was absolutely rapid!
