Van Slyke is a small and beautiful country cemetery in western Cooke County north of Lindsay. Like most country cemeteries, it is cared for by volunteers. There is a small "Historic Cemetery" sign toward the center of the cemetery. This site is very old but still in use.
This was a spur of the moment cache placement. While doing some work here I realized the cemetery had no geocache. I had no trade items, so please help me fill the small container.
Parking is on the side of the road but we saw no traffic in the 45 minutes we were there. It is a very quiet and peaceful area. Please shut the gate when you leave.
