Geocache Description:

Holocaust Memorial

by Andy Goldsworthy.

An extention of the "Garden of Stones" at the Jewish Heritage Museum, N.Y City

"

The cache is a small (micro) pill bottle. BYOP and please write small. No room for SWAG. Please return as you found it.

This is in the Plantations/Arboretum of Cornell University. There are several parking places along the circular road around the park. There is one just a short walk across the lawn from the Memorial. The cache is not on, or right next to, the Stones. As there are several other caches in the area, I hope you can take the time to walk around and appreciate the beauty of the place.

Andy Goldsworthy grew up in England and has made his home in South Central Scotland. He was Visiting Professor At Large at Cornell for 8 years. The Stones here were extras from the installation in NY City. The trees were planted in 2005. He has made permanent and short lived installations, using material from nature, all over the world. There are several interesting web sites that I would  like to make links to. Unfortunately I haven't figured out how to do that...yet.

Tundra Wolf showed me how to make the link. Thanks. Enjoy the click!

Here are pictures of Andy Goldsworthy's fascinating art
