This small (150 acre) lake is open from the last Saturday in April through October 31st each year. This shallow and weedy lake provides fair fishing for largemouth bass and yellow perch, and is stocked with rainbow trout prior to opening day each year. Unfortuately, the small dock was badly damaged by storms two winters in a row, so it was permanently removed several years ago.
The lake's sheltered location makes a great spot for kayaking and small inflatable boats. It's also a popular spot for lunch by local residents and tourists alike -- ducks, geese, herons and other birds, small mammals and the occasional black bear frequent the area.
