Roman Road - the name alludes to the Roman road that once ran from Droitwich to nearby Greensforge. There was great excitement in the Nineteenth Century when a "Roman Eagle" was discovered near the course of the Roman Road. However, the excitement died down somewhat when the eagle was discovered to have come from a Victorian bedstead and not a Roman legion!
Today the site is used for butterfly conservation and the council carefully manage the site to provide a habitat for a whole range of butterflies and moths. It's a busy location which is very popular with dogwalkers and the nature of the road means that you can be spotted searching for a geocache from quite a way off. Parking is available almost bang on GZ, so it's a good cache and dash - as well as a good place to take your dog for a walk!
Cache is a micro and you WILL DEFINITELY require a pair of tweezers to extract the log.
