Geocache Description:

This is a series based on the ancient Irish townland system and while the places chosen may seem a little random, they all mean something to me. This cache is placed close to the centre of the townland.

A 35mm film cannister with only a log so BYOP. Parking is limited so be careful, especially with young children. Please return exactly where found.

The Townland of Ballymore is in the Parish of Ballymore in the Barony of Orior Lower in The County Of Armagh.
The name probably comes from the Gaelic name 'Baile Mor' which means 'Great Town'.
It measures 674.37 making it the 79th largest townland in County Armagh.
It is bordered by Mullahead, Tullyhugh, Derryallen, Cordrain, Ballyknock, and Ballylisk.
Features include virtually the whole town of Tandragee.

Ballymore has been chosen because it is home to my Mum's older sister and her husband.
