Hey, it’s time for another road trip. We’ve all done it. You got a fever to get a cache, so off you go. Sometimes you don’t even know where you’re going, or even how far you will travel. Here is a story of one such trip.
The cache is not at the posted cords. To determine the location, solve the puzzle.
I was looking at my geostats and looking to see what goals I wanted to accomplish next. I wanted to claim three more states than I have not done before and I found some interesting caches that were just calling me. Today looked to be a good day to do it. It was a good thing I got up early because it was going to be a long day to get these three in today. So I quickly packed my geo gear and food for the trip and zipped out the door!
My first destination was in Columbus Ohio. The cache with my name on it was “GC404T7 Polaris (North) Star”. Lots of favorite points here, and just off the expressway. This one looks like fun. When I got there, I made the find and signed the log. I’m so glad I stopped here. Yes, it’s a favorite. Off to the next one.
The next cache calling me was in Jetersville Virginia, “GCMPWB Jettersville First”. What a nice day for a mountain drive. Mountains are foreign to us here in Saginaw Michigan. Since I’m not used to driving on those roads, I’ll have to be careful and not zip around the corners too fast. It was worth it once I got there. It’s a quaint little mountain town, a nice place to visit.
Well I only have time for one more before the day is done. The last one calling me is in Whitewood South Dakota, “GC4EW10 Little Dane Church & Cemetery – SDSQ”. Another state to check off the list. The blackhills area is beautiful. What a great place to visit even if I can’t find the cache. Oh but of course I found it and signed the log! I love ones down old county roads in cemeteries. You don’t have to worry about muggles popping up.
Wow what a day of caching. No time for anymore, it’s time to go home. Yes, I know some people might think I’m crazy, looney or insane for doing this. However, all of us cachers have lots of outrageous tales to tell. Well at least it keeps us form going postal. There are more bizarre hobbies out there, I just can’t think of any.
