Geocache Description:

Earlier this summer my son and I built some model rockets and went to this field behind the school to launch them.  The last rocket was a powerful homemade beast with multiple stages and massive engines.  The launch was a roaring success and our rocket quickly disappeared into the clouds.

After several tense seconds we saw the little puff of smoke and the flutter of the recovery parachute as our rocket began its descent back to earth.

That's when things went awry.  The parachute I'd crafted worked too well and our awesome rocket began to drift away on a strong gust of wind!

We hopped on our bikes and gave chase.  We chased that rocket for 5,181.764 feet at a bearing of 154.972 degrees.  We saw it land in the woods but when we ventured in after it the brush was too thick and we got disoriented.

I'd given up all hope of ever finding that rocket again but then I had an idea!  Maybe our geocaching friends could help us search!  Would you like to help us find our lost rocket?
