Geocache Description:

The owner (Tod Kemlo) has asked $5 per Adult per night, to cover extra costs of pumping water & electricity etc. Please note there is no liability insurance.

This camping event will take place over the week-end mentioned above. If people wish to get set up on Friday night that is OK with the owner.

There is a lovely spot in the creek for swimming. Some shallow enough for kids & some about 2-2.5m deep. The rest of the creek is ripe with Perch. (Top flying lures are best)

Catch & release please.

This is a beautiful part of the world & can be accessed by 2WD at the moment. In the event of a lot of rain it is probably best to ring us when you get to the Wittitrin fire Station.

Any questions can be answered on our facebook page (mid North Coast Geocaching) or phone Michael & Gloria Potter (ozglory) 02 6566 9037. We also live on the property.

There are about 8 acres of river flat to camp in, about 30 acres of open land & the rest is bush.

If you are intending to bring a dog, please be aware there is a very friendly Rotty/Kelpie on the property.

If you are coming to Kempsey from the South (Port Macquarie) your GPS might want you to turn at Telegraph Point. (UNLESS YOU WANT A 3HR+ TRIP ON EXTREMELY BAD DIRT ROAD, DO NOT TAKE THIS OPTION) please go to Kempsey, turn left when you go over bridge/Belgrave Street>Elbow Street-River Street> Sherwood Road>Dungay Creek Road Right into Eight Mile Creek Road.Or you can follow the trail of caches to the Fire Station, but do not continue up Davis Road but go back to Dungay Creek Road if you go to the Fire Station. At this point you are 5k from your destination. By the way The Fire Station is the only place that has MOBILE SERVICE around here.

(Please ring us from Fire Stn so we can guide you in.

There will be a swaps table and hopefully people with pleanty of info to help you.
