Geocache Description:

The last of my caches in the area is another attempt to squueze in a cache in a nearly saturated area... and guess what? There's still room for just one more in the Fort Canning area. Located on a terrace overlooking the Singapore Civic District, this scenic walk will bring you to a few historic relics and to another cache in the park. Welcome to:

Fort Canning Hill (or Forbidden Hill) is Singapore's most historically rich area. The city of Singapore can retrace its birth to the events that took place on this hill. From the affairs of the Sultan in the 14th Century, to the plans of Sir Stamford Raffles for the city in the 19th Century and the decisions that led to the fall of Singapore in WWII, a walk through the park will reveal the narrative of how a city grew from a fishing village to a bustling metropolis and a trading port.

The published coordinates will bring you to a cannon located on a terrace named after a General Officer Commanding for Malaya. Have a look at the information regarding the cannon, and then search for a board which displays a short biography of the terrace's namesake.

Search for the following clues:

A = The number of years he commanded the School of Military Engineers

B = The number of years he was General Officer Commanding for Malaya

CDEF = The year of his death

The final cache is located at:

N 01° 17.(A + F)(C + E)(A - 2B)

E 103° 50.(B + E)(D - A)(A)
