Geocache Description:

I was exploring this part of town thinking there weren't many geocaches here, and I also noticed there were lots of little islands with trees that made for a lovely spot. I decided to dedicate this group of six island caches to the six Hawaiian islands, Hawai'i, Maui, Lanai, Moloka'i, Oahu and Kauai.

Lanai is the smallest of the populated Hawaiian islands, but is considered the most "authentic" due to its laid back culture, reflected by the fact that there are NO traffic lights. There is one K-12 school on the entire island. 98% of the island is owned by Larry Ellison, founder of Oracle, who wants to make a 100% viable, green community . Lanai was primarily a pineapple plantation during the last century, but has now become a haven for golfers, divers and vacationers who wish to escape the typical tourist experience.

One of the natural wonders for divers are the Lanai Cathedrals on the south side of the island.
