Bellbirds will sing to you here! Traditional Cache

The Bellbird Walk is a lovely short walk through the bush in a short loop, around 10 minutes.  It's in the Scenic Reserve next to Lake Mahinapua and the campsite.  A variety of birds are likely to give a beautiful soundscape to your experience!

If you want to dash in and dash out again, this cache is at the end of the walk, and it's a loop walk so you can go straight to it from the campsite.

If you have 10 minutes to spare, do the whole walk and drink in the dappled light, the scent of the forest, the songs of the birds, and perhaps the sound of the sea in the distance.

The walk loops around an old dredge pond from an earlier gold mining era, but unless you know it's related to mining, you may not guess that miners once worked here.
