Hard to believe, but 2015 marked the fifth year for the Saturday in the Park event! What started out as a small gathering as turned into one of the premiere events of the area on a yearly basis, and it's great to see how much the event has grown over the years. To commemorate this occasion, this cache was placed commemorating a "banner year" for Saturday in the Park!
In a tradition, each year coordinates for a cache in the park are released in a discreet manner:
- Saturday in the Park - coordinates written in the corner of the pages in the binder containing all caches in the park
- Saturday in the Park II - coordinates written on balloons hung throughout the pavilion
- Saturday in the Park III - coordinates located behind support beams in the pavilion
- Saturday in the Park IV - coordinates printed in plain view on the welcome sheet
Saturday in the Park V brought a similar tradition, with the coordinates this year being written on flag banners hanging around the pavilion, which perfectly reflected it being a banner year for the event. So whether you grabbed the coordinates while at the event or later on, hopefully you enjoy this cache placed for a very special occasion!
