The Tower Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Prime Reviewer: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This cache is in the CEDAR RIDGE PRESERVE in Ceder Hill. The 3.5 rating is for where the cache is hid it is steep and a little grown over. You must follow the park rules, STAY ON THE TRAIL till you get to the cache area. You will be on two trails the Fossil Valley Trail and the Cattail Trail. These two trails connect to make a three-mile loop of trails with steep terrain and seven caches.

CEDAR RIDGE PRESERVE is at 7171 Mountain Creek Parkway if you head South on 1382 off of I-20 and turn left on Eagle Ford and right on Mountian Creek Parkway. The center is open dawn to dusk and is closed on Mondays.

There are lots of trails in this center so you should do 3 things: 1-Pick-up a map for 50 cents, 2-bring lots of water, 3-mark the vistor center as a waypoint.

The Cattails Trail is the one you need to be on to get to the Tower, the cache is within 50'feet of the Tower. When you reach the Tower, please take the time to climb it and check out the view, it's great!

I'd also like to give credit to David Newell, Boy Scout, Toop 730. According to the plaque at the top of the tower, he rebuilt this as an Eagle Scout Project. I'm glad he did, it's a wonderful view.
