Surrounded by an ornate iron fence, this final resting place has about 362 graves, some dating back to the early 1800's. There are many unusual headstones and monuments, also there are seemingly ancient apple trees in the hedgerow around the cemetery. Beautiful views, too.
We've visited this cemetery for years, for sketching trips and just quiet times wandering, reading the grave markers. There's always a breeze up here, wear a hat in cold weather!
The cache is located not in the cemetery, but in the hedgerow.
Ashley Rd is a seasonal road that is moderately well traveled and not in rough shape, at least during the months it's considered open. Parking is outside the cemetery, on the road. Walk in through the double gate, the ground is fairly flat and smooth.
