Handmade soba made with buckwheat flour ground in the millstone is the specialty.

道の駅「東山道伊王野」は那須町の東部にある道の駅です。
国道294号線沿いにあります。
この地域は豊かな自然と多くの史跡、文化財が残り、伝説や民話のふるさとでもあります。
この道の駅には大きな2連水車があり、その力で直径2ｍの巨大石臼を回しています。
その石うすで挽いたそば粉で打った手打ちそばが名物です。（限定なので早くお店につかなければいけません）
普通のそばも十分おいしかったです。
またそばソフトクリームもあります。
物産センターでは八溝山地の豊富なミネラルを含んだ土壌で育てられた米や野菜、加工品などを販売しています。
道の駅の駅の名前の東山道は、大和時代の街道の名前です。
当時は東海道ではなく東山道が東日本への主要な道であった時もありました。
この東山道がこの地域を通っていたようです。「延喜式」によれば、下野の駅馬は足利・三鴨・田部・衣川・新田・盤上・黒川にあったとされています。
これを現在の位置に合わせると次のようになるそうです。
