Geocache Description:

This is a nice simple cache located along the foreshore just outside Lorne.

There used to be a cache here that we often visited but it eventually rusted away into pieces. We thought it deserved another go as we love this little spot.

For years this has been a place we often go for a leisurely walk looking for shells. Traditionally we would have competitions ‘Who could find the most of a certain type of shell?’ We could spend hours strolling along this foreshore searching for that rare shell. Then once we reached this spot and finished searching, we would sit and just look at the crashing waves. It's very meditating.

Some things to look out for whilst ambling towards Ground Zero:

  • Shells
  • Rock People
  • Brave surfers surfing towards the nearby rocks
  • A seal basking in the sun on nearby rocks (once seen further on towards St George River).

Enjoy the scroll and finding the cache.

Exceptionally high tides over winter may cause issues.
