和田宿は、中山道六十九次のうち江戸から数えて二十八番目の宿場です。
現在の長野県小県郡長和町和田のあたりです。
西には中山道最大の難所である和田峠があり、次の下諏訪宿まで五里十八町（約23km）離れていたため、参勤交代の大名も必ず宿泊しました。
現在も古い家屋が現存し、修理保全されています。

Wada Post Town is the 28th post town from the Edo.
It is an area of current Nagano prefecture Chiisagata county Nagawa town Wada.
Because the Wada Pass that was the Nakasendo Highway's greatest difficult place was to the west, and approximately 23km was far to next Shimosuwa Post Town, the daimyo of the daimyo's alternate-year residence in Tokyo stayed by all means, too.
An old house exists and I repair it and am kept in good condition now.
The cache is established near Honjin(the chief hotel) of Wada Post Town.
