八幡宿は、中山道六十九次のうち江戸から数えて二十四番目の宿場です。
現在の長野県佐久市八幡のあたりです。
この辺は穀倉地帯で、周辺の米の集散地として整備されました。

Yawata Post Town is the 24th post town from the Edo.
It is an area of current Nagano prefecture Saku city Yawata.
This neighborhood was maintained as neighboring distribution centers of rice at a grain belt.
The cache is installed in the Shinto shrine which the post town name was derived from.
