We have been walking on the wedge for 15 years now, but we are still discovering new routes and enjoying its beauty. I hope this series of geocaches brings some fun to those who already know the wedge and brings new people to visit and explore it.
This GC is located near to a gate leading to an old footpath. This used to be one of the main routes across the wedge. When we first moved here (just after the foot and mouth epidemic) you could walk up along the school playing fields from this path. Now they are all fenced in and the path is much less used (though at the moment is it still kept clear).
Like its namesake, Wood Gate, this GC is sticky, but not sticky in the same sense. It is also too small for a pencil, but quite a bit bigger than the one at WG
