Panama City Beach is opening a new geocaching trail, offering a pirate-themed GeoTour of the World’s Most Beautiful Beaches that kicks off as part of the Pirates of the High Seas festival over Columbus Day weekend, and will remain active throughout the year.
A treasure map provided in the Panama City Beach Visitor Information Center or Download Here will provide a grid sheet to start your hunt.
Caches are located throughout Panama City Beach, and clues in the caches will help you complete a treasure map that will ultimately lead you to the treasure of Capt. Dominique Youx! Each cache will also include various articles of pirate gear you can wear as you continue on your journey.
