Geocache Description:

Number 16 in a circular route has been reincarnated not a million miles away from its ancestor.

Time to beat the bounds again, this time in Foulridge. This is the second half of the circuit.

No walls were harmed in the making of this series so please leave them alone.

Whilst the weather is more favourable in summer and there are longer days, the tree canopy can affect the accuracy of the grid references. Whilst numerous readings were taken, if you consider a better grid reference is needed please let us know.

An excellent pdf leaflet can be downloaded explaining the route http://www.visitlancashire.com/things-to-do/walking-routes/middle-distance-walks with input by our very own belbincolne no less!

If you are doing the walk in order you have just crossed the busy A56 and are making your way through a farm. The path is well signposted around the buildings. Head out for the fields. You should be about to cross Lancashire Gill. This watercourse marks the old boundary between the red and white roses before the local government reorganisation back in the 1970's, still a sore point for many a local.
