Water bores are used all over the island of Niue to supply water to the reticulation system. There are no streams, rivers or lakes on Niue so rainwater that percolates down through 10s of metres of limestone into the groundwater system is the only reliable water supply.
This cache is located adjacent to a water bore near Alofi. Do not enter the fanced off area and do not interfere with any equipment. The cache is located outside the fence.
