The easiest access is from the village of Madremanya, about 20 Km
from Girona.
You have to leave the road at the point 41º 59.271N 2º 57.357E
and take a paved road to the right if you are travelling to the SE.
300 meters ahead the asphalt ends and the road gets sometimes a
little bumpy (it's better to ride a 4x4 vehicle).
At 900 meters there is a bifurcation. You have to take the path
to the right, leaving the path with the name MORATELL to your left.
At 2.4 Km there is another bifurcation. You can take any of the
two, but the right one is better. Finally, 3,1 Km from the road
there is a bridge over the river Rissec. You can leave the car
there.
Then you will find 3 paths. The left one (bearing 230ºSW)takes
you in 10 minutes to the spring Font Picant de Madremanya; the
center one goes for several Km to the village of Montnegre in the
heart of the Gavarres and the right one takes you to the cache
site.
