Great seaside walk. Ascending from sea level to approx 210ft. Beautiful location. Quite easy walking. Good parking - plenty of room to turn etc,. Cache well hidden but discoverable with care. Distance from car park to cache around 1 Km ( 0.6 mile ).
Setting off from the car park you follow the road into the the woods and over a lovely hump back bridge overlooking a burn and the open sea to the left. Follow the road for a further 400 m approx ( Ignore the first left after the bridge - this will just take you onto the shore ) to where a grassy track cuts up into the hillside on your left. Follow this uphill until you come to a gate. Climb and follow the path round to your right and on up onto the hillside. An old look-out fort from WW2 can be seen here and is safe enough to look inside. Cache is in this area. Rest a while, have a snack and drink in the terrific views accross the bay and out into the Irish Sea.
