The Groveland Secondary Trail follows a portion of abandoned right-of-way of the old Groveland Branch of the Erie Lackawanna between York and Alexander.
The trail is open to horseback riders, mountain bikers, hikers, cross-country skiers and snowmobilers.
My over active imagination thinks that at one time Summit Street continued south out of the village of Leroy to meet with the train. Old maps still show a street here, although only a foot path remains. That would explain these lovely old bridges out in the middle of the woods. I'm checking in with the historical society to determine if I'm accurate and will update this cache page with whatever I find.
Cache is ammo can. Lots of fun swag and bison tube for FTF.
Congratulations to GadgetCHC on the FTF!
