This cache was originally hidden for the 2015 NEO GeoPoker Run event and was placed with permission from Punderson State Park.

OHIO STATE BUCKEYES
2014 NCAA FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS!!


Congratulations to the Ohio State University Buckeyes Football Team on winning the first college football playoff championship with victories over Alabama in the Sugar Bowl (42-35), and Oregon at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium (42-20)! The Buckeyes made an improbable and incredible run at the championship after losing their first two starting quarterbacks to injuries at critical times during the season. Ohio State's grit and determination has earned some well-deserved respect for their amazing team and brought the Big 10 back into national prominence.

This three-stage multi-cache will take you on a short hike along the Huron Trail. There is an interesting location just off of this trail that I discovered years ago while looking for hiding spots for other caches. It appears that some kind of road or driveway used to cut through the woods here, but now you will find it completely covered in thick grass. There may have also been some kind of boundary marker set up here, as you will see when you hunt for the first stage of this multi. You will be looking for a small metal tag at stage one.

The second stage is also a metal tag and its location was purposely chosen to bring you to the other side of the Huron Trail loop so that you do not have to hike the entire loop to find the final cache. Please try and take the easiest approach as you cross the loop and watch for poison ivy along the way. The final cache is a short distance from stage two and is a regular size lock & lock container.

This cache started out with a few small OSU Buckeyes trade items. Although not required, it would be great if we could keep the cache full of Buckeyes swag or football-related trade items. Touchdown!

Don't forget to check the inside of the cache lid for the coordinates to the Joker Micro cache (GC64D23)!

Punderson State Park is open to the public from 6 am to 11 pm. While caching after dark is allowed, please be sure to exit Punderson by 11 pm when the park closes.
