This cache is located on a hillside overlooking the sea, in a spot which was once the site of one of the many Manganese mines of the “Harlech dome” but this one has experimental levels that were cut for gold extraction. I do not know if any significant amount (or even any) gold was mined but there are gold deposits which are commercially mined today, about 10 miles away!
Try to pick a clear day to go for this one, (yes I know it's Wales but I can assure you there were at least 3 such days last year), because the views from up here are magnificent. You are looking for a tupperware type container with a yellow lid, it contains the usual novelty items (no gold I’m afraid). I would recommend parking at the pull in on the site of the old mine levels N52*48.756 W004*03.367, it is marked as a viewpoint on maps with reasonable detail, and can be found by following the road to Cym Nantcol out of Dyffryn Arduddwy. (gated at the top near the site) from there the cache is a very short hack up the hill (I would advise heading slightly higher than the co-ords and then coming down to the cache site to avoid the crawl through the gorse).
