The cache is located in the middle of the Connecticut Hill Wildlife Management Area consisting of over 11,000 acres of state owned mixed forest and grasslands crisscrossed with seasonal roads and a section of the Finger Lakes Trail.
The original cache was vandalized so we've moved the location slightly. People have enjoyed the pond too much to archive this cache. The cache consists of a ammo can filled with assorted toy figurines, marbles, rocks, shells and fossils. The best way into the WMA is to take Rt. 13 south out of Ithaca and take a right onto Millard Hill Rd. about 1 mile after Rts. 34/96 breaks off. Take a left onto Connecticut Hill Rd. Bear right at the enterance to the WMA and take your next left( a seasonal road). At this point you should consider weather conditions and your vehicle. In summer the road is fine. In winter, the road is not maintained and deep snow and ice can accumulate which makes poor driving but great skiing trails. If you start from here add some points to overall and terrain difficulty for distance.
