Geocache Description:

This is the fifth in a series of caches hidden to guide people to some of the locations used in the iconic British film Kes (1969) and other points of interest.

Jud was Billie’s violent older brother. Like many in Kes he was played by an untrained local actor, Freddie Fletcher. In Kes Judd is shown walking to work at a colliery here in Skiers Spring Wood.

This circular route takes you through Skiers Spring Wood, to Tankersley Old Hall, up to Hoyland Lowe Stand and back. It is a mixture of trails and footpaths. Please take care when crossing busy roads. You are looking for a hanging bison.
