This is the sixth in a series of caches hidden to guide people to some of the locations used in the iconic British film Kes (1969) and other points of interest.
From the later 17th century iron stone was mined here for the works at Elsecar and Thorncliffe.
This circular route takes you through Skiers Spring Wood, to Tankersley Old Hall, up to Hoyland Lowe Stand and back. It is a mixture of trails and footpaths. Please take care when crossing busy roads. You are looking for a magnetic nano.
