This is the tenth in a series of caches hidden to guide people to some of the locations used in the iconic British film Kes (1969) and other points of interest.
Just round the corner from here is the fish and chip shop Billy visited in the film. It is still a fish and chip shop today, though the frontage had changed. Nearby Fitzwilliam Street was also used in the film.
This circular route takes you through Skiers Spring Wood, to Tankersley Old Hall, up to Hoyland Lowe Stand and back. It is a mixture of trails and footpaths. Please take care when crossing busy roads. You are looking for a magnetic nano.
The Dearne Valley Landscape Partnership is working with local geocachers to develop a number of routes. If you have any ideas or comments then please get in touch.
