The Grünewald,probably the largest woodland in Luxembourg (4500 ha), stretches through the communes of Niederanven, Senningerberg, Steinsel, and Walferdange.
When I started to learn about geocaching, I read there were 1 or 2 caches there but by the time I got the necessary material, there were no more caches (probably archived). So I decided to pay tribute to this very nice walking area by starting a series there (other caches will be posted later). Unfortunately, I didn't find time to hide more caches and as I'm going to work in another place, I certainly won't have the time to do so. However I invite all geocachers of the area to explore the woods and hide more caches in this great place!
The old "Bëschhaus" has served for many years as a residence for the workers of the "Eaux et Forêts" administration. Following its makeover, it has been turned as a scouts chalet. Campers will be interested to know it can also serve as a camping area
