BEAUTY IN DECAY

This is the ninth geocache in the “Beauty In Decay” series, which highlights abandoned objects that once had purpose and now take on a different life, left to ruin and decay in their current surroundings.

The New Forest is a wonderful area with a vast amount of interesting objects. The old railway line from Burley to Holmsley offers many great relics from the past. This cache highlights the railway sleepers that once formed the track, left to one side to be forgotten about and return to nature.

This cache is on Forestry Commission land and has been placed in accordance with the GAGB - Forestry Commission Agreement. As part of this Agreement, it is not permitted to seek the cache during the hours of darkness.
