Can you imagine how the early settlers must have struggled to build a home from stone most likely found on their fields and managed to grow crops and have live stock .
To raise a family would have been hard and neighbours few and far between.
No water supply closeby and no electricity would be a nightmare for us today.
I admire those people who may have lived like my ancestors.
