Geocache Description:


This cache was originally placed by WeBeFour as a theme cache dedicated to “hot stuff”. It is now a bit more generic now, but it is full of various trade items. Because of park maintenance the cache had to be moved to a new location. It is located off of the East Shore Trail, and will require a bit of “bushwhacking”. The difficulty depending on which approach you take. The easiest approach is to take the East Shore Trail about ¾ of the way up the hill. Then take a somewhat overgrown trail to the right which will take you to within 100 feet or so from the cache. The other approach is that after you go thru the gate at the bottom of the hill follow your gpsr and the cow trails directly up the hill towards the cache. This is the more direct route, but be forewarned it is steep and there are lots of ticks in the oak forest. It is also a very lovely hike. There are numerous other caches that are close by, so you can have a wonderful day of hiking and caching around Del Valle Regional Park.
