Geocache Description:

EPIC = Exploring Pender Island Caching

Fawn Creek Park features a scenic and shady loop trail that skirts the canal and descends into a lush forest of cedar, salal, and skunk cabbage. You can find the trail head and ample places to pull off to the side along Ainslie Point Rd.

After descending the first little hill. you'll have two choices for direction. Since this is a loop trail, pick either one! For the full exloration of this great little park, and about a ten minute walk, go right. For a quicker find and perhaps a subsequent tour down to the ocean and back, go left! You're looking for a boardwalk and step down where you can sit down and find a cache. No need to go down the big set of stairs until you are ready to head to the beach, unless you chose "right" at the fork, in which case your reward for climbing the stairs will be a rest and find at the top!
