Hrast medunac na Papuku raste na nekoliko većih područja: najbrojniji je na južnim, toplim padinama od okolice Velike pa do vrha Papuka, te u okolici Orahovice i Voćina. Na području Parka Prirode Papuk, osim medunca raste još 5 vrsta hrastova: Quercus cerris (hrast cer), Quercus frainetto (hrast sladun), Quercus petraea (hrast kitnjak), Quercus robur (hrast lužnjak) i Quercus virgiliana (dub). Ovo stablo hrasta medunca vjerojatno je najstariji primjerak ove vrste u Parku.

Downy Oak grows in Papuk on several major areas: mostly in the southern, warm slopes from Velika to the top of Papuk, and in the vicinity of Orahovica and Voćin. In the area of the Nature Park Papuk, there are 5 more species of oaks: Quercus cerris (Turkey oak), Quercus frainetto (Hungarian oak), Quercus petraea (sessile oak), Quercus robur (English oak) and Quercus virgiliana. This oak-tree probably is the oldest specimen of this species in the Park.
