This was an “unofficial” James Bond movie, not produced by Eon Productions, who did all the other movies. So it does not have its own number in the sequence. All the other recurring characters – M, Q, Moneypenny, and even Felix Leiter - were played by different actors than were seen in the regular series. A rival group had obtained rights to do this movie in a legal dispute over Ian Fleming's estate. They were able to get Sean Connery to come back one last time, even though he once said he would never play Bond again.
